Goodbye 2007

This year had been a roller-coaster ride for me...

- been in and out of jobs

- been in and out of relationship

- been unhealthy

- been crazy and unstable

and I thought this was my year. Well, I don't want to think about the bad things that happened but I'll concentrate more on good things to come for the coming year 2008... so much for my last post-- for the year that was 2007.

Happy New Year!

Christmas 2007

Unfortunately, my Christmas was not merry at all. I'm still sick (not just ill) and because of this I can't take baby Jada out to the mall. I feel so guilty. I've been neglecting my "motherly" duties for the past few weeks because of work, and now because of this illness. Argh! I really wish I get well soon enough before new year!

The only thing that kept me busy this 25th... watching Labyrinth. Happy Holidays to y'all!

Cancun Vacations

If you’ve got the chance to go for a vacation with your loved one, where will it be? Perhaps you’re thinking of going out of the country? How about Mexico? Sounds fun right! Well, it’s because Mexico has its own charm-- Karisma! One of Mexico’s fab vacation spots in Riviera Maya, the idea of experiencing Cancun vacation is one long-shot dream turn into a reality. Its spectacular amenities give an ideal romantic touch for couples who just wanted to have a memorable honeymoon or long-time life partners spend their second honeymoon in this paradise-like destination. Just take a look at the picture above and give yourself an idea what Cancun Vacations will be.

Will this a Merry Xmas for me?

Unfortunately, I've got myself measles. Just two days before Christmas day and here I am with rashes all-over my body. I may look ready for New Year (with the little spots) but I don't like the idea of being ill this holidays. I was planning to take my daughter to MOA because there will be fireworks display but I guess I have to reschedule it some other time.

Get well soon to me.

Safetyrack

Sometimes even though we are very careful when driving, we still can’t avoid road accidents caused by other people’s negligence. Nowadays, fastening your seatbelt is not enough for you also need an outer defense gear. Since we really can’t prevent this from happening, what we need to do is just add extra protection to impede greater damage to you and to your vehicle. That's why safetyrack has been invented to avoid massive property destruction. It may look like an extra garnishment to your vehicle, but what’s good about this is it has purpose. Check it now and see what the best safeguard for you and your vehicle.

What Age Will You Die?

Yes, this is really creepy...

You Will Die at Age 61
You're pretty average when it comes to how you live...
And how you'll die as well.

All I Want for Xmas...

I want you so bad! Lols.

Sounds kinky if you'll not check-out the object of my desire. The latest from Apple -- MacBook Pro. I wonder how much it costs. And I wonder if Apple here in the Philippines already offers this... but even if they have this, it will only be just wishful thinking!

What happened to Untold Pinoy Stories?

One of my favorite blog is Untold Pinoy Stories but now when I clicked it, all the posts are gone! I wonder what happened. It's been awhile since I last visited the site. After my PC bugged down, I don't have much time browsing other websites. Well, I do hope it's just a glitch.

The Busiest Month for my Blog

This month is the most "busiest" for my blog. Yes! I enjoy blogging for I don't just get to practice my English writing skills but I also earn from this hobby. I always make sure that I don't post, write, nor use other words but only English. Working as a customer care rep for four years helped me improved my com skills. Others say that if you took engineering, you're good with subjects that involve math but not so good with english. Hey! I'm here to prove y'all wrong... hehe.

Capella University

Thanks to technology, everything is now convenient and easy. Working, shopping, and now – even learning. Of course there are some online universities advertising themselves thru spam mail. But not all are legit. The key word is “accredited”.

Just like capella university, a member of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) in US. They offer online degrees to several states in US both to graduate and undergraduates without sacrificing the quality of education to people who can’t attend formal classes. If you are a bit hesitant on which course you should take, you can seek consultation from a Capella University counselor. With education, you are more powerful than anybody… even the richest man in the world.

Our Christmas Party

It was a blast! I really had fun with my new set of friends. It was held last Dec. 8 at Jade Palace resto along Shaw Blvd., Pasig. We all had fun (even though we didn't get to win the trip for two to HK). Food was great. The emcees are great (our big bosses). And I promise myself to attend the future parties to come. I really, really enjoyed it.

If you're curious what I got to take home that night? Err, one pack of hopia. Lols.

Are You a Party Girl? (or so I thought)

The blog quiz says it all!
You Are a Good Girl!

You're into fun - but it has to be your own brand of fun
Drinking? No thanks. You rather spend your time differently...
Whether it's talking with friends, taking up a hobby, or reading
You're not the type to socialize just for socializing's sake!

What Rose Represents Your Love?

Your Love Is Represented By a Red Rose

You love passionately and fully, without any reservations.
And while romantic love comes easily for you, you also love many people platonically.
You are a true romantic, and you always can see the best in people.

Thanks to Youtube

I was watching today's morning show on one of the local channels and so proud to see a Filipina being featured at Ellen Degeneres Show. Charice Pempengco, just a teen, but with a good singing voice just like Whitney's and Beyonce's. How did she end up guesting at Ellen's show? Well, thanks to youtube.com where Ellen saw one of her great belting performance in Korea. From the Philippines, now in the US, tomorrow-- worldwide.

So proud of you, Charice-- the next Lea Salonga!

Because of You

I never can't seem to get enough of this song!

Because of You by Ne-Yo

Want to, but I can't help it
I love the way you feel
Just kinda stuck between my fantasy and what is real
I need it when I want it
I want it when I don't
Tell myself "I'll stop" every day, knowing that I won't

I got a problem and I
Don't know what to do about it
Even if I did I don't know if I would quit but I doubt it, I’m
Takin' by the thought of it

[chorus]
And I know this much is true
Baby you have become my addiction
I’m so strung out on you
I can barely move
But I'm likin' it

And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because
Never get enough, she’s the sweetest drug

Think of it every second
I can't get nothing done
Only concern is the next time I’m gon' get me some
Know I should stay away from
'Cause it's no good for me
I try and try but my obsession won't let me leave

I got a problem and I
Don't know what to do about it even If I did I don't know
If I would quit but I doubt it, I’m
Taking by the thought of it
Hey!

[chorus]
And I know this much is true
Baby you have become my addiction
I’m so strung out on you
I can barely move
But I'm likin' it

And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because of you
(All because of you)
And it's all because
Never get enough (Never get enough), she’s the sweetest drug

Ain't no doubt (No doubt)
So strung out (Strung out)
Ain't no doubt (There's aint no doubt)
So strung out (Hey)
Over you
Over you...

Because of you
And it's all because of you
Never get enough
She's the sweetest drug
She's the sweetest drug

Who doesn't love Jollibee?

Do you know anybody, any kid for the matter-- who doesn't love Jollibee? Before I had Jada, I've been always wondering "why do kids love this big-eyed, wide-smiled character?" Now I know the reason... because he seems friendly, jolly and charming for kids. And for them, he looks cute and approachable!

And now every time we passed by Jollibee's "house", it's a must that I have her get near him and touch him or else, she'll be very upset.

That's the power of charm!

My Current Life Analysis

Let me share my "life rhythm" analysis... got this from an online reading.

Your present situation indicates someone who has labored long and hard in her garden. You are at the crossroads. Try to figure out if you need a course correction, or even a complete about-face. You're not yet committed to a certain path, but you could be soon. Change is still possible. It is important to look carefully at how disordered your situation is. Is everything too controlled and regular? Isn't it more fun to just let everything go? Make your plans real and achieve tangible results.

You are someone who has
strength due to life's hard knocks. You are honest, you can face the truth, even if it is unpleasant. Astute and you're difficult to be fooled, tricked nor conned. However, you will be more productive if you work with others. You don't have to do it all by yourself. You have to learn to look beyond the obvious, surface situation to what is hidden and obscure. It is not always necessary to act to achieve your goals. Sometimes they can be realized through a stillness that gives desire a chance to flower within the fullness of time.

You are full of energy and life. You're never afraid to try something new and will reach for all the gusto you can.
But sometimes you have to ask yourself if your energy is helping or already hurting? Balance is needed. On the other hand, your partner may be having problems with possessiveness or jealousy. He must learn that control is impossible.

Your current challenge - nothing exists for both of you except burdens and responsibilities. Each step will feel like a struggle. Be kind to yourself. Lighten the load wherever you can, and let others help you. You don't have to handle everything yourself.

Again, the main lesson is we "control" by letting go - we "win" by surrendering. Be reminded that the best approach to a problem is not always the most obvious. When we most want to force our will on someone, that is when we should release. When we most want to have our own way, that is when we should sacrifice. When we most want to act, that is when we should wait. The irony is that by making these contradictory moves, we find what we are looking for.

Oh my! So this only means one thing... "I'm a control-freak!"

Remembering Gerlie...

One night, I received a text message from one of my close friends from CVG... and it was not one of the usual forwarded text. 'Twas a very bad news... One of our former teammate died of cancer. She's Gerlie, very apt name for her... an epitome of a graceful Filipina. I took this picture from one of our team building sessions. She's the one standing infront.

The news brought me goosebumps for I was really clueless that her condition was already that worse. Last time I heard about her from one of our common friend was that she's already recuperating from her last chemo-theraphy treatment. However, her cancer from her pancreas had already spread up to her brain. Everything was so sudden. She's one of the nicest person I've ever met and it's really a big lost for everyone... most especially for her family.

Wherever you may be sis', may your soul rest in peace. I know for sure you're very happy where you are right now...

Gas Credit Cards

They often say that having a credit card is a big no-no. Why? Because it tempts you from spending more than what you will earn... more than what you really have. Actually, it's more of a liability. But even if it is not practical to own one, try maintaining just a single card for special purchases. And should you decide to own just one, I suggest you get gas credit cards that will not just take money out of your pocket but also will help you save and earn even if it is just a small part of what you've spent.

It's Christmas again

Here comes Christmas time once again. My humble abode doesn't even have the spirit or ambience of Christmas yet. And I feel that I owe it to my daughter since as we all adults believe, this special season is especially for kids. My plan is to setup Christmas lights on the wall and shape it into a Christmas tree. However, I don't have time to clean the house, no time to even organize my place. I only have two days rest every week and it's either I sleep all day, run some important errands or spend some quality time with Jada. But then, enough with these excuses... At long last I was able to put my plans into action... and boy was Jada so happy to see the lights blinking when she woke up!

Yes, it's now officially Christmas for my baby! Merry 'Mimas!
